ACCS

The Age Check Certification Scheme (ACCS) is a UKAS accredited assessment body that independently tests different AV solutions to ensure they are effectively protecting children online.

Safeguarding children and protecting young people from the harm that can come from access to age-restricted products and services is crucially important to the ACCS. They help make sure that companies are compliant with government regulations on age restrictions.

In 2021, they launched the Age Appropriate Design Certification Scheme, the ICO’s first approved criteria for the ICO Children’s Code. This means that ACCS certification ensures your business is compliant with the Age Appropriate Design Code (AADC).

We are proud to say that OneID is ACCS certified as a method of age verification so using OneID to check the age of your customers ensures your business is compliant and not at risk of getting any fines.
