When using OneID, candidates with a UK online banking account don’t need to scan their identity documents to prove who they are. Instead, when prompted by the National Screening Agency’s screening process, they just have to click the OneID® button and log into their online banking app to consent to share their identity data. The identity verification process is completed within seconds, in just a few clicks.
One of the tangible ways in which OneID®’s identity verification helped the National Screening Agency was the improved accuracy of the reports they generated. OneID®’s end-to-end digital solution enables the identity data, verified and protected banks, to be shared directly with the National Screening Agency. National Screening Agency serves a diverse, global candidate base. In the past, verifying international candidates was a cumbersome and error-prone process that required handling various forms of documentation, often leading to delays and inaccuracies.
OneID®’s global eID solutions network and AI-powered document scanning capabilities have revolutionised the NSA’s ability to verify international candidates efficiently. With OneID®’s international identity document scanning capabilities, covering 200+ countries, the NSA can now authenticate candidates from around the world quickly and accurately, reducing the risk of fraud and ensuring a seamless verification process for global candidates.
The solution has helped the NSA use a better reference point when verifying candidates with non-UK identity documents like passports or identity cards. OneID’s AI-powered document verification solution is delivered in partnership with IDVerse. It uses a zero-bias approach, which minimises the possibility of error due to gender or skin tone bias. The result was reduced error rates and false negatives. A genuine candidate holding a genuine identity document from one of over 220 countries in over 142 languages and typesets can pass through this process.
Lower operational costs and better client relationships
Employee screening agencies like the National Screening Agency must pay a fee to the Disclosure and Barring Service for each screening. If an erroneous application is submitted, the agency loses this fee and must pay again for a new one.
