OneID® and NSA Group create candidate identity certainty together

In a move that will give employers a higher degree of confidence about their candidate’s identity, National Security Screening Agency (NSA) Group has entered a strategic partnership with OneID®. The scope of the partnership covers ID checks for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and ID checks for Right to Work (RTW). Now, employers using NSA Group’s employee screening solution will benefit from the fastest, simplest, and most highly accurate identity checks returned by OneID®.

The need for assurance and speed in hiring

The rise of remote hiring, coinciding with the proliferation of advanced digital tools, has paved the way for fake candidates – individuals claiming to be someone they are not. It is estimated that recruitment fraud cost the UK economy £23.9 billion.

The lack of identity certainty is compounded by the lack of time in the hiring process—48% of HR practitioners mention time constraints as a barrier to conducting thorough background checks. Inaccurate information and data entry errors further complicate an already intricate process.

The OneID® Advantage

OneID® minimises the delays and errors of traditional ID checks for DBS and RTW. Its end-to-end digital process for DBS ID Checks delivers highly reliable results in seconds.

OneID® uses bank-verified data to check an individual’s identity credentials for DBS. This allows employers to reach and verify 50 million UK adults who use online banking – including those who don’t have a passport (13%) or a driver’s license (25%).

In addition, by making the DBS ID check a document-free process, NSA and OneID® are removing the fraudster’s ability to upload fraudulent documents during the verification and onboarding process

As the sole Identity Service Provider (IDSP) certified by the Home Office for DBS ID checks without document scanning, OneID® ensures the high GPG45 confidence level necessary for Standard, Basic, and Enhanced DBS checks.

A response to greater compliance and security needs

Mark Ker-Lindsay, NSA Group's Managing Director, said, ‘We at the NSA Group are committed to delivering solutions that meet the specific needs of employers. Partnering with OneID® for DBS and RTW checks not only speeds up the process but also minimises errors. This is our response to helping businesses meet their compliance and security needs.’

As businesses try to create a safer and more secure experience—both within and outside their organisation—a stronger employee screening solution is needed now more than ever. OneID® and the NSA Group are working together to help businesses deliver this in a simpler, faster, and more secure way.
