OneID® Sandbox

Terms & Conditions

v2.1, 12th June 2024

"OneID®" is the identity service from OneID Limited ("we", "us", "our" or "OneID") that lets users prove who they are online to retailers, service providers and other entities (“Relying Parties”), simply and securely, by connecting to the user’s bank via Open Banking, and users consenting to the sharing of their personal data held by their bank and other selected information providers.

  • We have created this developer portal (“Portal”) to enable developers to access various OneID APIs, javascript for the OneID button which users click to initiate their use of OneID, and related information (“OneID Materials”). Within the Portal there is a restricted access “sandbox” environment (the “Sandbox”) providing a non-production environment in which developers can prepare for and then implement integration between a Relying Party’s systems and the OneID systems (“Permitted Use”).

  • Access to and use of the Sandbox is governed by these Terms. Use of OneID® Materials is governed by these terms (for use which occurs within the Sandbox and thereafter (to the extent that it is not addressed by a separate agreement with OneID®), and references to the Sandbox will be interpreted accordingly) and by our website terms (for all other uses).

  • We appreciate that developers may wish to access and use the Sandbox in their own personal capacity (“Personal Use”), or on behalf of a company/entity which wishes either to integrate directly as a Relying Party, or to facilitate an integration on behalf of a Relying Party, with OneID’s systems (“Corporate Use”), such Relying Party/company/entity being referred to herein as the “Company” and references herein to “you/your” mean you personally, or the Company on behalf of which you are working, as the case may be.

  • BY CLICKING THE "I AGREE" BUTTON OR USING THE SANDBOX YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU: (i) HAVE REVIEWED AND ACCEPT THESE TERMS; AND (ii) YOU ARE EITHER ACCEPTING THESE TERMS IN YOUR OWN PERSONAL CAPACITY FOR PERSONAL USE OR (WHERE IT IS FOR CORPORATE USE) YOU ARE AUTHORISED TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY AND TO BIND THEM TO THESE TERMS.

  • Please review these Terms and our Privacy Notice carefully before you accept them as they apply to all use of the Sandbox. If you do not agree to them then you must not attempt to access or use the Sandbox.  We encourage you to frequently review these Terms and the Privacy Notice as they are both subject to change

  • If the Company enters into an agreement with OneID to use OneID® as a Relying Party (“Relying Party Agreement”), the Relying Party Agreement will prevail if there is any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and the terms of the Relying Party Agreement.

2. USE OF THE SANDBOX

The Sandbox is made available for Permitted Use only, by those who: (a) are 16 years of age or older; (b) have not been suspended or removed from the Sandbox or any of our other services or products; and (c) comply with these Terms.

You must not:

  • use the Sandbox for anything other than the Permitted Use nor in any unlawful way or in breach of these Terms, or act fraudulently or maliciously;
  • use the Sandbox in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, impair or compromise our systems or security or interfere with other Sandbox users (for example, we expect you to make fair and reasonable levels of use of the Sandbox and not repeatedly and unnecessarily access it using robots or other similar technologies);
  • attempt to alter or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running any service (for example, by trying to break the encryption protecting those transmissions); and
  • attempt to reverse engineer, modify, hack, penetration test, fault find, analyse, tamper with, seek to upload or introduce any malicious code, bugs or any other malware of any sort, or otherwise in any way look to subvert or adversely affect the operation, code and/or functionality of the Sandbox, the Portal, OneID or any of the OneID Materials.
  • Unauthorised use of the Sandbox will be a breach of these Terms and may also violate the law.
  • We aim to make the Sandbox easily accessible. If you have any difficulties when using it then please contact us – see section 1 below for how to do this.

3. PROPRIETARY RIGHTS AND LICENCE

  • "OneID®" is a registered trade mark of OneID.
  • All trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights of any nature in the Sandbox (including its icons, buttons, appearance and branding), together with the underlying software code and all OneID Materials, are owned by OneID or its licensors.
  • OneID grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicenseable and revocable right to use the Sandbox and the OneID Materials for the Permitted Purpose in accordance with these Terms, but not further or otherwise. No other or wider right or licence is granted.
  • Except to the extent strictly necessary for the Permitted Use and as may be described in the relevant OneID® implementation/integration guide(s), you will not, nor allow third parties, to use or access the Sandbox: (i) to make and distribute copies of any part(s) or aspect(s) of the Sandbox or the OneID Materials; (ii) to attempt to copy, reproduce, alter, modify, reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, transfer, exchange or translate the Sandbox or the OneID Materials; (iii) to create derivative versions of the Sandbox or the OneID Materials; (iv) to rent, lease, sub-license, loan, translate, merge, adapt, vary or modify the Sandbox or the OneID Materials; (v) to make alterations to, or modifications of, the Sandbox or OneID Materials, nor permit the Sandbox or OneID Materials to be combined with, or become incorporated in, any other programs or services; or (vi) in connection with any data mining, robots or other data gathering or extraction methods.
  • Changes: We may change/update the Sandbox and the OneID Materials from time to time, and often these updates will be inherited automatically when updates our made to our APIs, but we will generally try to run both the current and the previous version of our APIs, and we will give you at least 60 days’ notice of material changes to [OneID Materials][our APIs] wherever we reasonably can, but we reserve the right to make such changes on shorter notice where necessary (eg in response to legal, security, reputational or regulatory issues).
  • Confidentiality: We acknowledge that the OneID Materials are made publicly available on our website for use per the website terms and these Terms, and so they are not therefore confidential in themselves. However, you must treat as confidential any other information which we disclose to you through the Sandbox or through any correspondence or interaction which we may have with you in relation to your use of the Sandbox and OneID Materials and only use that information for the Permitted Purpose.
