While our service has traditionally relied on bank data and government-issued identity documents, we have now expanded our data sources to include Mobile Network Operator (MNO) data. By incorporating mobile data, we can reach a broader audience, ensuring that those who may not use online or mobile banking can still verify their age or identity seamlessly. To achieve this, we have enhanced our identity data orchestration engine. In anticipation of the widespread adoption of digital identity wallets, in addition to OIDC Identity Assurance, we have added support for the presentation of W3C Verifiable Credentials. This ensures that OneID® Customers are future-proofed and prepared for the wide adoption of Digital Identity Wallets based on upcoming standards, such as Digital Driving licences using ISO18013-5, which will define how identity data is securely shared and verified within digital wallets. By implementing verifiable credentials, OneID® ensures that users maintain control over their identity data while businesses benefit from a secure, standardised method of verification.
